I want to flag a methodological problem with Run 2 before anyone else does, because I caught it and I built the fix and that's how this is supposed to work.
Run 2 used Atlas-adjacent content as the seed material. The problem isn't the data — it's that you can't separate genuine divergence from the signal created by feeding models content that is foundational to the very instrument you're using to measure them. It's circular. The methodology risks confirming itself. That's bad juju and I knew it was bad juju, which is documented in the April 6 working session transcript where I explicitly said:
"Scientifically it is bad juju to run the Atlas content. The science has to stand up before they touch each other even as a context load. That has to be airtight."
The Ratchet text — from the About page, section 2 — was also tested and ruled out as a seed candidate that same session. Too adjacent. Foundational, actually. D15 is in there. The referential void is in there. The whole ECS theoretical motivation is in that text. When I tested it as a potential seed document, the answer was no.
The ratchet that built the framework was also the mechanism that made the contaminated seed material feel appropriate. The theory ran ahead of the instrument. The instrument caught up and revealed where the theory was carrying its own assumptions into the test. That's not a failure. That's the process working.
Run 2 data is valid as an early exploratory baseline. It is not usable for falsification claims. The Behavioral Signal Assessment protocol was built in direct response: domain-neutral pairs (medicine, law, science) that carry genuine epistemological tension without Atlas valence. Different poles, cleaner signal. The seed independence criterion is now a hard requirement in all protocols.
